Dr. Matthew Ruckman is a sport and recreation management professor and consultant specializing in parks, recreation, and sport system planning. He serves as Program Director for Sport and Recreation Management at New England College, where he teaches courses in sport governance, management, and strategic planning.
Through Game Plan Consulting, Dr. Ruckman works with municipalities, universities, and sport organizations to support projects such as parks and recreation master planning, facility assessments, gender equity evaluations, and strategic planning initiatives. Ed Royer holds a Law Degree, a Master of Science in Sport Management from the University of Florida and is a professor of Sport Management at New England College.
His professional career includes work as an attorney as well as a coaching role with the New England Revolution. He has applied this combination of practical and academic experience to a variety of consultancies in the sports industry throughout the country, relating to legal issues, facility management and development, program administration, and non-profit operations.
